Goal #2 - Promote awareness of spatial information, its applications and benefits, to State, Local and Commonwealth Government agencies, industry, education and the wider community.

Goal #3 - Contribute towards the development of National and State policies and standards relating to spatial information.

3.1 Recommend standards for the collection, maintenance and use of spatial information, which will be promulgated to all sectors of the SA spatial information community. All SICOM Members Ongoing
3.2 Establish a SICOM Working Group to focus on the adoption and delivery of existing standards and the development of new standards. Friday 11 May 2007
